What is life guard bouy?

A life guard buoy, also known as a rescue buoy, is a buoyant device used by lifeguards for rescue and recovery operations. It is typically made of durable, waterproof materials and has a bright color scheme to be easily spotted in the water.

One end of the buoy is attached to a rope or line, which is held by the lifeguard while the other end is thrown to the person in distress. The buoy helps the person in the water to stay afloat while the lifeguard brings them to shore or a waiting rescue vessel.

Some life guard buoys also have features such as built-in whistles or lights to signal for help or aid in low-light conditions. They are an essential tool for lifeguards to ensure the safety of swimmers and beachgoers.
